Kitchen Help

Here’s A Great Idea:  Perfect solutions to anything no one is talking about in the Kitchen to help you save Time & Money!

Shake It!

Adding salt to your recipe takes time.  We know.  What makes it worse is when you need to set the salt shaker down and pick up the pepper shaker.  Now what?  Get ready to save time:  Use both shakers, one in each hand at once and go for it!  The time you’ll save could add up to 4 minutes per year!

More Dinner Guests?

Setting a dining room table for 6 is really similar to setting a table for 4.  All you need to do is place 2 more plates and 2 more sets of silverware with napkins.  All that unnecessary stress of doing the math can cost you over 3 hours a year!

Storytime

Last year I had some dinner guests over for spaghetti.  I watched in horror as they ate with their fingers.  The table and chairs were covered in pasta and the walls were splattered with sauce.  Disgusting!  Then I remembered the silverware.  Boy, was my face red!

Letters to the Editor

“I always carry a can opener with me.  Sometimes when I go to someone’s house I’ll see them sitting at the table in front of an unopened can.  We’ll stare at it together for a while until they ask me, “Do you have a can opener?”  Then I’ll pull it out of my back pocket.  Boy are they surprised!”

Oops – It’s A Colander!

Ever accidentally take a colander down when what you really needed was a bowl?  Annoying, isn’t it?  Here’s a great idea:  Simply apply caulk to all the small holes, wait 24 hours, and you’ve got the bowl you needed in the first place!

Tight Spaces

Kitchens can become cramped, especially when they’re small.  If another person enters while you’re cooking, tempers can flare!  Simple solution:  Move the refrigerator to another room.  You’ll save a minimum of 18 cu. ft!
